Gym Prayer

At Midland Christian School, we are committed to leading students to love God and seek truth. We desire that each student grows through the following:

  • All students participate in daily Chapel experiences. These experiences vary from having a speaker in a large group, small group discussions, worship, prayer, and service. It is our hope that this daily time of fellowship and communion with God is an enriching and challenging time for our students.

  • Students are enrolled in daily Bible classes that teach Biblical truths as well as develop godly character. A Biblical education at MCS will prepare students to take ownership of their faith and be able to defend it when they graduate.

  • At MCS, a strong emphasis is placed on service. We believe that God calls us to look outside of ourselves to serve others. We are committed to instilling a servant's heart into all students.

  • Prayer plays a vital role at MCS. We offer a prayer room on campus for students to use as well as regular prayer experiences. Beyond that, students can bring up prayer needs in any class and be confident that those requests will be prayed over.

  • The Campus Ministry at MCS partners with local churches to connect students to a local body of Christ. We believe it is so important for families to be plugged into a local church and we strive to help students connect with a church body.

  • A Campus Ministry Office is open during school hours where students can come and speak with Kresha Grizzard or Bob Highley about struggles they are having, decisions they are wrestling with, or questions about their faith. MCS also has a counseling staff, available to work with our students.

The spiritual growth and development of our students at MCS are at the core of the education they receive. The Biblical Christian Worldview is woven throughout all subjects that are taught in order to develop God-given talents for lives of Christian leadership and service.

Kresha Grizzard

Kresha Grizzard - Campus Minister

I grew up in Midland and attended the University of Texas of the Permian Basin where I received my Bachelor's in Child and Family Studies with a minor in History, along with my Early Childhood through 4th grade certification. My husband, Carson, and I have two beautiful babies, Barrett and Aubrey.

I have learned the Lord has an incredible way of placing you exactly where you need to be.  Twenty-one years ago He brought me to Midland Christian as a student and for the last thirteen years has provided an avenue for me to be a part of the lives of our students.  The experience has been nothing short of extraordinary and something I thank Jesus for every single day.  To walk alongside our students as we all meet Him and grow in a deep, meaningful, and powerful relationship with Him is what this is all about.  I am passionate about the opportunity to see the Lord meet students exactly where they are!

I cannot wait to step into my new role as the Campus Minister this year and am expectant of the miraculous ways our God shows is going to show up for Midland Christian!

Bob Highley

Bob Highley - Director of Spiritual Life

I have been happily married to my wife, Shellye, for 46 years. We have three children, Kaley, Ryan and Jazmin. We also have four grandsons and two beautiful granddaughters. It seems as if I've been involved in many occupations such as coaching, sales, and pastoring, just to name a few while the truth is, I've always been doing the same thing, which is serving people. I just serve in different areas. I am and have been a disciple and a disciple-maker. I serve Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior and I teach and lead others to do the same.

Through the years I've been able to grow committed, steady relationships throughout the world. Those relationships are based on honesty and trust and have resulted in many discipleship opportunities.  My favorite place to serve on mission is the Dominican Republic - I love it!  I so look forward to serving all those at MCS.  All students, teachers, administrators and parents get ready - it’s going to be a great ride!
