Summer Reading 2012

For 2012 summer reading, we have decided not to assign a project over the required book. Instead of a project, students will read extra books.

Every student will have one required book to read based on the grade they will be in during the 2012-2013 school year (see required list below). Dual Credit students will have two required books to read and to test over. After the student reads the required book, they should come to the High School Library on one of the following Wednesdays between 11-1 to take the test: June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25 and August 1. Students who wait until after school begins will be required to arrange with their English teacher a time to take the test (before school, during lunch or after school) on or before Aug 21, 2012.

Instead of a project, students will read the number of extra books indicated below. Parents will sign the provided form and return it by August 21, 2012 to their student's English teacher. A suggested reading list has been provided OR students may choose a parent approved book that is grade level and length appropriate.
