Dear Friends,
A little over one
year ago the Board of Trustees embarked upon the most ambitious capital
campaign in the history of
Midland
Christian
School
. This campaign, which we
styled “Celebrating 50 Years of Praise and Promise”, was designed
not only to honor the Lord’s faithfulness and guiding hand over the
past 49 years at Midland Christian School but also to ensure that the
school remains, for future generations, a place where students are
trained in a Christ-centered environment and prepared for lives of
Christian leadership and service. Our
goal was, and remains, ambitious – To raise $10 million to retire all
of the school’s outstanding debt, to make much needed capital
improvements to some of our older existing facilities, and to establish
an endowment, the earnings from which will be utilized to assist with
the funding of future activities.
As we enter the
final year of the campaign we wanted to update you on our progress.
To date we have
received pledges totaling $6.7 million and have already collected $4.0 million of such
pledges in cash. The Board
continues to marvel at the generosity of the Midland Christian family
and we are forever grateful to the hundreds of you that have already
joined us in this effort. We
firmly believe that God has placed His hand on this campaign and
continues to guide it toward a final result that will be far beyond what
we could have asked or imagined.
We continue however
to need your support. First,
we ask that you faithfully remember this campaign and
Midland
Christian
School
in prayer. Second, if you
have not yet made a financial commitment to the campaign we would ask
that you prayerfully consider doing so.
We believe this is a rare opportunity to make a financial
investment that literally can impact the lives of children for many
generations. Third, if you
have already made a financial commitment to the campaign we ask that you
consider if your current financial circumstance would allow you to
increase that commitment. We
are equipped to deal with gifts of cash, appreciated property or gifts
made as part of an estate plan. Finally, we ask each of you to become an
ambassador for the campaign. No
one is more ably equipped to communicate to others the mission,
environment and emphasis of
Midland
Christian
School
than each of you.
We look forward with
great anticipation to the next several months as we continue, with your
help, to fulfill the mission that has been set before us.
We hope to see each of you next fall as we joyfully Celebrate 50
Years of Praise and Promise.
